Let’s reminisce over the highlights and biggest moments in our Year in Review 2019

We’ve achieved a lot in 2019, from WordCamp’s traveling in Europe and the USA, we’ve expanded our team, and we’ve had many challenging projects successfully finished.
Our company’s belief is that team buildings are a necessary factor that is crucial to the success of the business. Strengthening and harmonizing teamwork is perhaps the most important thing that brings results.
Reasons, why we all enjoy team buildings and traveling across the globe on WordCamps, are: strengthening teamwork, improving communication, enjoying fun times, engaging with colleagues, increasing self-esteem, accepting responsibility, building trust, increased motivation, and learning by this amazing community.
Successful things should be repetitive and this way we’re establishing a company tradition!

2019 was a year in which our founder encompassed all camp participation with a „higher” role as a WordCamp speaker. Mitko’s first appearance as a speaker in 2019 was on WordCamp Nis, Serbia on May 18, and while the rest of the team stayed on the second day of the conference, Mitko, the next day May 19 was already in the UK on WordCamp Bristol to speak about Building Websites Using React.js and WordPress API.

Our team members had a wonderful time on the conference day as well as the contributors day in Nis. They said, “WordCamps“are the best, especially when hosted by friends and shared with an exceptional community.

Although Mitko wasn’t in Bristol for the first time, the impressions are always present, it’s chilled, very hilly and there’s loads of street art and graffiti everywhere. Overall pretty good vibes! In between the talks he used the opportunity to meet with our clients for coffee.

From the United Kingdom to Germany. June is reserved for WordCamp Europe, this time the event was held in Berlin, June, 20-22 with a record number of WordPress enthusiasts. The whole team came back with fresh ideas, new contacts and ready for even more challenging projects. There are many aspects to a WordCamp, and with 3 talk tracks, it’s impossible to attend to all the talks you want to, so we decided to split so that everyone can attend their topics of interest. Later on, when we shared the impressions a great blog post was born.

September was a really busy and productive month.

Mitko has flown twice to America. The First time as a speaker on WordCamp in Las Vegas and shared his knowledge and experience with an extraordinary audience and fellow wordpressers. Las Vegas was quite a show, as Vegas always is. The conference was held on 7th and 8th September, and the location was at the world-famous Plaza Hotel & Casino in trendy Downtown Las Vegas.

In between the trips in the USA we also were part of WordCamp Sinemorets, Bulgaria. A unique combination of networking, lectures and beach activities. The weekend from September 13th to September 15th offered us two beautiful sunny days filled with workshops, active networking events, and some additional relaxing and bonding opportunities. Mitko on this second-ever WordCamp Retreat – and the first one directly at the beach held workshop about AJAX-ing Your (WooCommerce) Website.

The second time he flew to the USA was to another WordCamp, of course 😉

WordCamp Sacramento was held at the Falls Event Center in Roseville, CA on September 21 and 22. Their event theme was Star Wars.

“Always in motion is the future,” warns Yoda when talking to Luke Skywalker on Dagobah Empire Strikes Back. It’s the perfect advice too because the future is always changing—especially in open-source software. So, Mitko attended WordCamp Sacramento to share all the knowledge about Building Websites Using React.js and the WordPress API.

With an excellent organizational set-up, we have successfully achieved our goals: participating in conferences and contributing into the community, to many challenging projects and satisfied clients. We are especially proud to grow along with the success of our clients. We turn their challenges into concrete solutions.

We had the honor and pleasure to be part of the organizing team for WordCamp Skopje. The whole Webpigment team had different roles and contributions to the conference. This year we were bronze sponsors and we also organized a prize-winning game in which Milana from Serbia was the lucky winner on PS4.

So many elements go into making an event fabulous! From logistics, design, and marketing! Each piece makes the event whole.

Old and new friends were gathered for the same purpose: Share precious knowledge and experience about WordPress, marketing, design and having fun. We all love traveling but the best conferences are when you are a host.

We can’t fail to mention the local Meet-ups. One of the best things about using WordPress is the chance to build relationships with all the amazing people who use it. With our small but growing community gatherings around this particular content management system, we find it easier to help eachоther and camaraderie around WordPress. In 2019 we’ve tended to gather as much as we could, but we are happy that in this 2020 this king of meetups will be held each month, thanks to our venue sponsor Weglot.

Partnerships

Another thing from 2019 that makes us very proud is our partnerships with Premium WordPress hosting Kinsta and WP Engine. Depending on the needs of our clients, we gladly recommend one of these companies for unparalleled success.

2020

As 8.20%  of 2020 already passed, 91.80% remains to accomplish the plans we already made.

Part of the development team is going to the first-ever WordCamp Asia on the 21st till the 23rd of February 2020.

Soon our marketing team will be traveling in Wijchen, Nederland on SEO & Online Marketing conference. This edition of YoastCon will be special because they are celebrating Yoast’s 10-year anniversary.

We already bought the tickets for Wordcamp Europe 2020, so Porto we are coming all together!

As we move into a new year, we’ll leave you with a quote that is kind of our professional (and personal) formula: Passion + Consistency = Success.
